Now I'm in Taormina, a place in Southwestern Sicily with unbeatable views. From the terrace in my hotel room, I can see Mount Etna on one side and the Straits of Messina on the other. The town itself feels a little bit like Venice on a hill. Lots of side streets to get lost in, lots of shopping. The only difference is: there's a beach, accessible only by funicular. I will be trotting off there shortly after this post.
In fact, I am starving, so I should go now... more on Taormina later (okay: one QUICK note...all of the wine here, including the whites, tastes like the Volcano!)
