There is finally a Broward Country constitutional amendment on the table to require county commissioners with a financial interest in the outcome of a vote to recuse themselves and be permitted from entering chambers and entering into discussion on those topics.

I can't believe that used to be allowed, but it explains a lot about Broward County's record of piss-poor public contracting.
